Tourist Information Centre Klopotec

TIC Klopotec can be found in Sedlarica, 7,5 km away from Pitomača that is located in Virovitica- Podravina County. The county is famous for its opportunities to offer for bicycle, trekking and hiking, equestrian, fishing, hunting and ecotourism. Guests of Pitomača can experience the atmosphere of the rural ideal, taste local Podravina specialties and visit the estate “Zlatni klas” in Otrovanec. Nature lovers can enjoy the untouched landscapes along the river Drava and visit the village-island of Križnica, bounded by the Drava river and the Croatia-Hungary border which can only be reached by ferry or by pedestrian bridge. This area is a famous region of small-production wineries.

Mecsek Discovery Center

The Mecsek Discovery Center will be implemented in Pécs. It’s located on the right side of the main road (Route 66) when leaving Pécs in the north direction. The area is called Árpádtető, and it is also home to the Mecsextrém Adventure Park. The Mecsekerdő Zrt. implemented several touristic attractions in the surrounding of the project area (e.g.: hiking trails, forest recreation facilities, education trails, lookout-towers, springs, memorials etc.) All of these make convenient environment and relaxing possible for hikers. The goal is to redirect visitors from the park into the new facility too, which can also accommodate 30 – 40 000 people / year. This venue is also located along several national and international hiking trails (National Blue Circle, South Transdanubia Red Tour, Mecsek Green Tour, and Green Way).
